$5,000 contribution follows Superintendent of Public Instruction candidate’s presentation
(Boise) The Idaho Federation of Republican Women have endorsed and contributed $5,000 to Sherri Ybarra in her campaign for Idaho Superintendent of Public Instruction. The Federation hosted Ybarra as their keynote speaker during the group’s annual convention luncheon in Eagle, Idaho.
Julie Chadderdon, President of the Idaho Federation of Republican Women, noted the group will make one contribution this election and the recipient is Ybarra. “Idaho needs a conservative and innovative Superintendent who is a seasoned education leader. After hearing from Sherri Ybarra on a host of education issues including Common Core, funding issues, technology and innovation in Idaho classrooms, we voted overwhelmingly to support her campaign with a maximum donation.”
Ybarra said she focused her remarks on the current state of education in Idaho and highlighted her plan to address the complexities facing education. She noted her recent accomplishment of turning around a failing school and bringing it to “four-star status” by emphasizing innovation and teamwork. The school used existing funding in making the changes.
